Multidisciplinary designer, hardware and software specialist. Industrial and scientific crossover experience. Years of self employment and self starting work adventures.
Jonathan is an adept designer across both software and hardware, having worked across various teams at some of Australia’s leading research firms. With further experience in manufacturing and small business systems, he is ideally placed to support both research and development teams, as well as smaller businesses requiring support to bring their ideas from concept to production.
Patricia Giang

An experimental scientist with a background in research and project management and procurement, Patricia’s innovative design approach and refreshing communication style allow her to resolve issues with skill and creativity.
She began her career by obtaining a bachelor’s degree in metallurgical engineering. Her dedication, creativity and influence have seen her succeed in a variety of roles with some of Australia’s leading companies and agencies.
Patricia is excited to be able to provide her experience in facilitating the development of new ideas to the wider community. She believes we are all driven to create in all different ways whether in art, science, craft, woodwork, etc…. and she wants to facilitate a culture of makers from mini-makers to adult makers. The Maker Shop and associated Maker Space at Bored Owl is Patricia’s brain child to create a place to network with Illawarra’s creative community and maker community.
